My Hospital Friends

This is Job. He is 6 years old and has been in the hospital for almost 3 months now. Job was flying a kite on the roof of his house in Port-au-Prince when he stepped off backwards and fell down three stories, landing on cement. I have heard he only broke his tail bone, but he can't walk or make much movement with his legs, so I'm not sure whats going on exactly. He has horrible bed sores that look unbearable. Job is so precious and upbeat despite his pain and the monotony of his days in the hospital. I know Job would love to have people praying that he can walk again someday!

And this is Daphka. She, like Job is six years old and also fell off her roof (?). She broke her collar bone and then had an operation. She has been in the hospital for almost 2 months. Monday through Friday, Daphca and her mom study out of her school books so that she can continue learning while she's out of school.

Daphka and Job both have a big crush on each other. Since Job can't walk and Daphka can, Daphka usually walks down to Job's bed to hang out. Yesterday she decided to let Job borrow her handwriting book so he can practice his handwriting too. Sometimes I catch them smiling at each other from their beds. It's so cute!
